What is Latin Dancing?
Latin Dancing is a series of South American styles of
dancing
that have become a popular way for people to enjoy and have fun at
latin clubs.
The most popular styles of latin dancing around the world
are:
Salsa, Bachata, ChaChaCha and Merengue.
Salsa dancing has become by far
the most sorted out dance
style for adults.
People take latin dancing lessons in every major city
around the globe.
There are Salsa clubs everywhere that are playing these
songs.
You can walk into a Salsa Club and encounter complete
strangers who are
there with the common interest of dancing to latin music, ask
someone to dance
or be asked, and get to practice or enjoy the experience of
latin dancing with a
partner, friend or a complete stranger.
There is also Ballroom Latin dancing but it has a
different feel and focus than
the latin dancing in salsa clubs.
Salsa clubs
latin dancing has a more street feel to it.
Technique is not as important as
having fun, being able to lead your partner
without so much attention to the
details in technique, no focus on competition,
just doing it because you want
to dance in a more relaxed way.
